The Independent Church in India

Dear Friends of Independent Church in India,

Dear Friend of Independent Church In India, Greetings from India, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We hope that all of you are enjoying a blessed new year! Lowell and I have been back in India again since January 2nd, working with Pastor Britto and Pastor Richard among the unreached and poor and needy. We had the privilege this trip to travel with our own pastor, Alex Alvarez, and his wife Jenny, from Victory Chapel. They will be staying in India two weeks, to observe what the Lord is doing through Independent Church in India and to help minister to the people here. God has been working through them and ICII in a powerful way. For the past week, we have been doing remote village ministry, children's ministry, church meetings, leprosy outreaches, and much more.

It has been a very exciting and busy week, and as always the Lord is doing amazing things so that His name can be glorified. Since our last trip last year, two churches (one a leprosy church) have been built and they are already packed full of hungry souls that want to worship the Lord. Each year the churches are even more filled, and more home churches need to be started, and the ministry is expanding because of your prayers, love and support. It has been a total joy to see more and more souls coming to know Jesus and coming to worship in the new churches.

Last week we visited four leprosy colonies. These were colonies that we had reached with the Gospel for the first time two years ago. On the first visit to these leprosy colonies two years ago there was unspeakable poverty, and total hopelessness and despair. But since then ICII missionaries have been visiting these colonies and have been equipping them in the Word of God. At each of these colonies instead of despair on their once empty faces, there was the joy of Jesus. Gigantic smiles were on the faces of the leprosy residents because they were excited about worshipping Jesus. Even the atmosphere of the colonies was better than before. They were still all very poor and needy but they all had a hope that only Jesus could bring. We gave out hundreds of shirts and saris to the residents of the four colonies and they were very blessed to receive the new clothing. Thanks to ICII's sponsors who bought clothing which made it possible to bless our Christian brothers and sisters this year with a nice Christmas gift.

We have also been preaching the Gospel in villages, among the blind, in a school, and handing out children's Christmas gift packs. Thanks to those who provided Children's Christmas gift packs, the kids receiving the packs were filled with joy and excitement to receive their first Christmas gifts.

We have many things to share but will send an update again soon to fill you in what the Lord is doing in India through Independent Church in India.

Please join with us today and help us to reach the lost souls while the door is still open so many more souls lost in darkness can be saved and lives can be transformed by the power of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ! If anyone would like to give a gift for the work of ICII it would be greatly appreciated while we are in India. Everything will remain the same and ICII's treasurer will be receiving your gifts and forwarding them to India.
